Chase Garrett Update

I just recieved an email from a very proud dad. Iowa boogie woogie piano prodigy Chase Garrett has a huge gig coming up in November.  Probably too early to tell you so I will repost this in early November.  Check out  Chase's website as well. Email below:

I just wanted to pass along that Chase will be performing a Boogie Woogie piano show at the Englert theater in Iowa City on November 12 this year. Back to Back grand pianos on stage, it will be a boogie blowout!

His show will include Ricky Nye from Cincinnati, Bob Seely from Detroit, and Lluis Coloma from Spain.

Chase Garret Update!

Iowa's own young phenom on the piano Chase Garret is performing at the Ark in Ann Arbor Michigan on April 4th and 5th. He is also scheduled to perform at the 11th annual Blues and Boogies Woogie Summit in New Port Kentucky in November. This kid is the real deal, and I should know! I can Boogie, but this kid smokes me! I bow to his greatness:-) Check him out on this great youtube video I found of him playing Honey Dripper.

17 year old Iowa Phenom Plays Boogie Woogie Piano!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking at some videos related to mine that pop up after my video plays, and I stumbled upon this kids piano playing. WOW! His name is Chase Garret. I don't know him, but if you do have this kid contact Bob Dorr at KUNI, and get his stuff played on the radio. That is some very fine Boogie Woogie! As I have said, over, and over, and over, da blues won't die, and it ain't even sick! With kids like Chase playing like that the blues should be alive and well for decades to come!
