Sam Cooke: A Change Is Going To Come

I wish there was a video of Sam Cooke performing this song, because it has had a lot of great meaning in regards to not only the Civil Rights movement, but also to today. There are a lot of tribute type videos, and a ton of artists have covered the song, but no live footage of the great Sam Cooke. So this is a listen to video. It just has a great picture of Sam, and his amazing song.

Arguably, he had the greatest voice in either R&B or gospel.

What a voice. Incredible Sam Cooke!
btw, I wasn't really watching amer.idol a ways back...but I heard this voice, singing "this" song at his audition. It made my head swivel to the tv. None other than Taylor Hicks. He then sang a few lines of Swanee River Rock. It was then and only then that I started watching the show just to hear/see the grey haired young man. He later also sang Sam Cooke's You Send Me. I felt it was an honor to the great Sam Cooke and lots of young people began to discover Sam and this music.

The Man Who Invented Soul sank his very soul into A Change is Gonna Come. This is a timeless classic in every sense of the word.
