Blues Ring Gone. No More Being Bounced To Their Site.

For the last few months when I have put in my url to check out my webpage, I have been bounced from here and ended up on the Blues Webring.  I have had a link to that site from almost day one, but for some reason either by accident or purpose I have been forcibly bounced to their site from time to time.  I am not sure if it is happening to you my readers, but I don't like the fact that my traffic is getting redirected to the blues ring.  So I deleted their small ad down in the far corner of the website.  I think that should take care of it, but please let me know if you are getting redirected to another site.

I was wondering through my stats and I found a new blues blog. Berks Blues Fest. They have some great blues videos and commentary about the artists. You need to stop on by and say hi!

LInks Update, and Stormy Weather

First I updated the links section. Blogger has a new blog link so that blogs that are linked to my blog are automatically updated and a small snippet of the post is shown for you to read. So if your favorite link is missing check out the blogs I read section and it is probably there. The only link I deleted completely was the draft Al Gore website. I don't see a reason to draft Al, even though I like him, I think that Barack Obama is a pretty good choice:-)

Second, the weather has been very strange. The weather service all day said that severe weather was a guarantee. So I stayed around close to home. The bad stuff stayed way west and is currently south east of me. However, the wind up here is really bad. It is so bad up here that there are high wind warnings out!! I have lost a tree branch, but still have electricity. It should be interesting to see what the damage is like in the morning around town.

Hopefully, I will resume normal posting tomorrow.

Salty Dog

Salty Dog has a great podcast show that you can easily access by clicking here. Podcasts are nice because you can listen to the shows whenever you want to. I download a lot of podcasts and listen to them at night when I go to bed, because reception can be kinda of sketchy up here in the great void of NW Iowa:-) Especially in the Summer, when every freaking thunderstorm makes the Am band unlistenable. So podcasts have been great for me this summer.

You can also access Salty Dog's podcasts from the small banner at the top left side of the blog. If you would like to see his website then click on the link in the link section. He has some great stuff, and it sure is nice to listen to some cool blues whenever you like, wherever you are:-)
