BB King

As of now BB King still lives.  He is at home under hospice care.  While most people used hospice at the end of their life, it also can be used for elderly people without anyone to help them.  It is really hard to know just what is going on.  There seems to be a feud between BB Kings management which has power of attorney.  Vs. the family who called the police because of what they believed was elder abuse.  It is also hard to know just what happened in BB's brief stay in the hospital.  I have avoided all of the typical parasitic paparazzi tabloid new sites, because they really don't know either.  What I do know is that BB has been sick since last winter and has canceled months of shows.  This is not good.  However, don't give up hope. Keep positive thoughts going his way.

BB King, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, and Jimmy Vaughn: Rock Me Baby

Talk about a blues summit!  BB, Buddy, Eric, and Jimmy.  NICE!

BB King: Sweet 16

A very good clip of BB playing one of his signature tunes. I am thinking that this is from the 70s. At the very end Mohammad Ali is jumping up and clapping and he looks pretty young. Of course BB is ageless:-)

Texas Flood: Stevie Ray Vaughn, Albert Collins, and BB King

Stevie, Albert(Collins) and BB!!! I am sure somewhere in the archive this video is lurking, but it is worth posting it again.

BB King In The Boston Globe Online

Boston.com the online home of Boston Globe, has an article about living blues legend BB King. It is a concert review, but it is also a very nice article about a living blues treasure. Click here to read it.

B.B. King/Live At Montreux 1993/Blu-ray & DVD

Perhaps the greatest living bluesman, B.B. King was but a mere 68 when he appeared at Montreux in 1993 to wow the faithful. And he didn’t disappoint. Both DVD and Blu-ray contain his classic 16-song set. The Blu-ray has an exclusive three-song bonus (“Why I Sing The Blues,” “When Love Comes To Town,” and “Guess Who”) from his Montreux appearance 13 years later in 2006 at the age of 81.

BB King: How Blue Can You Get

BB King from years ago at Farm Aid. BB breaks a string just before he starts to sing. Like any great bluesman he keeps singing while he changes the string! Too Cool!:-)

BB King: Key To The Highway

The king of the blues BB King, of course, if you don't count Freddie, or Albert, or as Bob Dorr sang once in a Christmas blues song, Freddie, Albert, and BB are my three kings:-)

BB King: Jamming On The Blues

BB King playing Lucille:-)

BB King And Friends: Everyday I Have The Blues

One of BB's signature tunes, plus he has a lot of great help. Buddy Guy, Dr. John, and Kim Wilson. Also if you want a laugh look at Jay Leno! I can't believe how much Jay has aged since 1992! I also can't believe how long Johnny Carson has been gone! EEEKS! I am getting old!

BB King And Christina Aguilera: Merry Christmas Baby

Different version of Christina singing Merry Christmas Baby, this time with BB King.
