Taylor Hicks: Soul Thing

If I heard it right on the video Hicks has written a bunch of songs and has a new album coming out. Personally I think it is a good thing that he is doing original material, because you can only go so far singing other peoples songs. This song is a good start.

Thanks, Bluesman -

Especially love the last couple of minutes of this! The Soul Patrol is anxiously awaiting album #2, but it's great to have so much wonderful video to keep us happy in the interim. Thanks again for your TH support!

I still say Hicks needs to county-up some of his songs.

Bluesman, this is one of his older originals that is on a totally selfmade cd he did before getting on the idol show. The cd was called Under The Radar and sold at a little music store in Alabama. The original arrangement on that cd is my absolute fav. (he does it a little diff. here).

P.S...Dang! I had only watched the first part of this vid/version before commenting HA! thought I knew where it was going. NEVER ever just watch/listen to just first part of any Hicks performance as he usually starts normal then it progresses to WOW! Then from WOW to Whoa...whooooohooo! Liked his comment about Jason Castro at the end (really love the Castro kid's voice! Check out his "Daydream" or "Hallelujah").
