Bob Dorr And the Blue Band Update

I'm slowly trying to work my way through the entire process of sending these Blue Notes to try and find out why so many folks on the list are not getting the notes delivered. I had my internet provider Cedar Falls Utilities come out and replace a faulty modem today. Maybe that will help. If you haven't been gettin' it (!) but this note made it through, could you please email me at newsletter@theblueband.com and give me the good news. This test reminds me of the old Tickle Me Elmo joke: How do you tell if you've got a female or male Tickle Me Elmo doll? You give it a test tickle...

The First Friday of the month always finds us at The Hub, 4th & Main, right here in Sparkle City. These "Geezer Gigs" (6-9pm) have really been fun lately, I hope you can join us. Heath is making the mad dash up to Cedar Falls after school to join Al in the rhythm section. We'll have him sing his new song that we worked up last weekend, as well as a new song that Davis sings and the 4 Xmas songs we worked up. OP Pizza by the slice available at the bar, bring yer dancin' shoes, CAKE is optional...

Saturday has us at The Riverside Casino, south of Iowa City, stop down after the Hawks beat Penn State (if that happens, you KNOW luck will be in the air!) We play the show lounge 8:30p-midnight, no cover charge...

And then we're off for another almost two weeks, playing next at Famous Dave's in Minneapolis on Sat. Nov. 22. We're asking for WORK for Xmas. We've got LOTS of open dates for the Holidays. Make us an offer for that Party you're planning...

Because there's no gigs next week, there probably won't be a Blue Note either. So check the post-a-note page for the latest Blue News...

See yas on the Blue Highway, good luck in the casino this week. If you win big, you can buy CAKE for everybody in the band! Rub yer washboard, celebrate Iowa's Turning Blue, and always remember we love you. Bob Dorr & The Blue Band
