One Shot Deal featuring the Tone King John Lukehart on guitar playing at a benefit in Marshalltown Iowa. They raised a lot of money for a couple musicians who are having some health problems. These guys don't play very often anymore, so it was great to see them. I even played a set earlier with John. Cool show!!!

Photo Of The Week: John Lukehart
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS GUITAR PLAYER?? I still haven't found John. No numbers no emails! I don't know what it is about Marshalltown people. I beginning to think it is in the water:-) This photo was taken back when Jeff Wagner reopened Blues On Grand. Jeff had a huge jam session and all the musicians came out. I took a handful of pictures and I will try to post some more from time to time. BTW, if you live in either Colorado, or California be on the look out for this guitar player. He is a phenomenal guitar player with incredible tone. In fact we called him the Tone King. Also he only sings a few songs. One of those is Mustang Sally, and Luke is probably one of the few people who can actually pull it off! So if you are in either of those areas and see this guy scorching a guitar have him contact me!

Photo Of The Week: John Lukehart
Photo of the week is my good friend John Lukehart. John is one of those incredible guitar players, that seems to come and go from the Des Moines scene. Once again he has dropped off the face of the earth. I don't know what it is about friends of mine from Marshalltown, but they tend to do this quite often:-) John's claim to fame is his outstanding tone and amazingly complex licks on the guitar. He certainly helped solidify a lot of my early songs by knowing when to play lead, when to play rhythm, and when to rock out! I have not seen or heard from him in a couple of months. Disconnected phone, email doesn't work, so If you have seen this phenom guitar player please contact me. Also he sometimes disappears to the California area. in particular San Diego. If you hear a hot guitar player singing Mustang Sally, then it is probably him:-)
