Everybody in St. Louis thinks Uvee Hayes should be a superstar. They've seen her shows, heard her regionally-released records and continue to fall in love. Her two out-of-print CDs are pricey collector's items overseas where she is also highly regarded. Now the time has come for the rest of us to get to know this classy, Soulful Blues Queen.

The appropriately-titled "Play Something Pretty" is a 17-song extravaganza of Memphis Soul, Blues, R & B, and Classics sung by a richly-voiced woman.

Speaking of great singers the legendary Otis Clay duets with Uvee on the drop-dead stunning title song, which will saturate air waves soon. The bumping "Maintenance Man" will conquer the Soul Blues market. Traditional Blues lovers will groove to ripping takes on the Willie Dixon gems "Howling For My Darling" & "Built For Comfort".

And wait 'til you hear her sing the classic "Funny How Time Slips Away"!

Unlike so much music in the Soul/Blues world these days this album features real live pickers and players.
