Andy Coats Update

Hey folks,

This is a very special week, and I’m not talking about NCAA Basketball …. (though I can only help myself so much and feel compelled to add “Go Heels” here!)

My friend and mentor, Mr. John Dee Holeman, will turn 80 years old this Saturday, April 4th.

In honor of that, there are two shows you absolutely cannot miss:

-- First, a radio show hosted by Dave Tilley, who was gracious enough to invite John Dee and myself to perform live. The show is called the “Bull City Cosmic Hoedown,” and here are the details (please check the WXDU site for streaming info.)

Tues., March 31, 6 - 8 pm
Live Radio Appearance with John Dee Holeman
WXDU 88.7 FM, Durham, NC

http://wxdu.org
http://hoedown.org

--Then, on John Dee’s big day, he and I will share the stage with a whole slew of Music Maker artists, including Cool John Ferguson, Sol Creech, Bubba Norwood, Captain Luke, and Whistlin' Britches.

Tickets are $15 for the whole evening, and a good time is to be had by all!

Sat., April 4, 8 pm - til
80th Birthday Bash for John Dee Holeman
Broad Street Cafe

116 Broad St., Durham

Please show your support for this wonderful man, who has been playing the blues for a stunning 66 years! His contributions to the blues and local community are invaluable.

All the Best,

Andy
