I'm Back!!

If you missed me over the last few days, I have been busy working on a CD called Yesterday And Today. It is a project that took me over ten years to complete. It features three bands, and is all original blues music. I started the project back in 1994 when I took my band featuring John Lukehart, John Wood, and Jim Faar, to Junior's Motel to record some songs. The band broke up, and I lost interest in pursuing a music career. Fast forward to today, and I realized I had a bunch of unrecorded original music and a lot of great songs sitting in the vault that needed to see the light of day. So I took my guys into the studio, Jimmy Davis, Don Demers, and Paul Sleezer, and we recorded 11 more songs! Hopefully, I will have a hot link to the new CD online soon. So you can purchase it.

I have a backlog of blues news so tomorrow I will get everyone updated on the world of blues!

Hang in there!

The Warm Whiskey Band: Where You Come From

Found a cool video from an Iowa band on Myspace. They recorded both the song and made the video at Kirk Kaufman's legendary studio near Fort Dodge, Iowa, called Junior's Motel. Junior's Motel is one of the coolest places on earth. In fact, I hope it becomes an historic landmark one day. Not only because of all the great music made there, or the awesome musicians who recorded there, but because the building is a work of art. He took an old chicken coop on his family farm and turned it into a great studio. Furthermore, it is a never ending process. He is currently working on a giant stone tower that hopefully one day will be done:-)
