John Lennon at his Funky best! This is from one of his most under appreciated LPs from the mid 70s. It did have a number one hit, Whatever Gets You Through The Night, with Elton John, but most people have panned this LP in the day. However, years later it still holds up, and is much better than Mind Games. This song rocks and is funkier than all get out! Enjoy!

Commodores: Brick House
This is one of the many videos I had previously embeded in the site before Youtube deleted it. The Commodores Brick House was one of the few great disco tunes from the 70s. However, it is probably more Funk than disco. Either way it is a great song.

Artist Of The Week: Stevie Wonder
This weeks artist is Stevie Wonder. Stevie was the great soul singer from the 60s and 70s, and still today can wow an audience. Plus every great blues band today has at one time or anther covered Stevie's monster hit Superstition. Stevie is currently campaigning for Senator Obama, and apparently took a fall the other day. Apparently he is alright, but it must have been pretty scary to see. To watch him in action check out the videos powered by Youtube on the left side of the blog.

Issac Hayes: Shaft
A cool video of Issac Hayes from the Wattstax show in LA. What keeps this from being a classic video is the Rev Jessie Jackson yelling Yeah! for the first have of the freaking song!! Otherwise, it is a great clip. The band does get a little off when he starts to sing, but like a well oiled machine they get it together and rock out.
