Whitney Houston RIP

Sad news last night.  Whitney Houston died at the age of 48.  She will be remembered for her amazing vocals, unfortunately her personal problems derailed her career.  She was not the first to have fame come to quick, and not be able to cope with it.   It happens far to often, and has almost become the typical lifestyle of the music business.  However, now it is important to remember the amazing performances and her vocal skills.  I am only sorry that she didn't come over to the blues.  I have always felt that the blues offers a type of redemption that no other music offers.  With  blues performers it is not about your past, although important as fuel for your art, but it is who you are now that counts.  With her voice, she could have been the queen diva of the blues for the next 20 years.  Unfortunately we will never know.   Sadly the vultures are already leaking information about her death, and the paparazzi was outrageously trying to take photos of her inside the hearse.  I can only say that they need to let it go.  It doesn't matter now what she did the other night, only her music matters now.
