This is a repost, but I love Steve Goodman, and his Cubs songs. Goodman died not long after this video was shot, and unfortunately just before the Cubs made the playoff for the first time in 40 years.
Great to see your blog post and video that invokes Steve Goodman's "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request." Goodman often doesn't get his due. You might be interested in my 800-page biography, "Steve Goodman: Facing the Music." The book delves deeply into the genesis, context and effects of "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request" and its semi-sequel, "Go, Cubs, Go."
You can find out more at my Internet site (below). Amazingly, the book's first printing sold out in just eight months, all 5,000 copies, and a second printing of 5,000 is available now. The second printing includes hundreds of little updates and additions, including 30 more photos for a total of 575. It won a 2008 IPPY (Independent Publishers Association) silver medal for biography.
To order a second-printing copy, see the "online store" page of my site. Just trying to spread word about the book. Feel free to do the same!

why do you write the same thing over and over again about Steve Goodman. I think once is enough. It is obvious that you are cutting and pasting your remark, and I have seen it on my blog several times. We get the point.
I'm sorry for what apparently have been multiple posts to your blog over the last year or so. I wasn't aware of that, and it's hard to keep track of the myriad blogs that mention Goodman. I've just tried to get the word out about the book in a variety of ways. Please remove my comments from the blog, as I am not trying to offend anyone. And I'll remember not to post anything about the book on the Blues Historian blog anymore. I'm glad you remain a Goodman fan. Goodman people are everywhere.
The Cubs should be competitive enough to keep pace with the others teams. I really like the Cubs . They’ve always been one of my favourite MLB teams to watch. I pass most time watching and looking for their news and videos. Last time I saw some hot videos of them here: http://www.cubszone.com They really deserve our love so we must not stop supporting them .Go Go Cub
