South Skunk Blues Society Update
Upcoming shows: We continue to have some fantastic blues playing in the area. I have bolded the three new shows that have been added. We do try to be accurate in our listings but it might not hurt to call ahead. Snafus happen. Last week I wrongly listed Bob Pace at the Speakeasy and come to find out the dates had been changed for the show (it is August 11th). I am sorry to have misstated that show and I hope those that went to see Bob play will come to his next show at the Speakeasy on August 11th.
Rob Lumbard, Wed, July 25, 6-9 PM at Cadillac Jacks Bike Night in Baxter. This is an outdoor patio show. Burgers, beverages, and bikes abound. No cover.
Hot Tamale and the Red Hots, Jake Moorman Memorial Golf Tournament, Saturday, July 28th, 2012, Twin Anchors Golf Course, US Hwy 30 Colo 4-8 PM No cover. This is a benefit fundraiser that is hosted by Jake's Moorman’s parents Kendall and Natalie and brother Ben Moorman. Jake died in a car accident on December 5, 2010. The benefit is to raise money in Jakes memory for scholarships for students at Baxter where Jake attended school. The past events have drawn a good attendance and this year looks like it will even be bigger event. The public is invited to attend and support this endeavor. Food, beverages, music, a golf tournament, camping, a silent auction and fireworks will be happening! I am attaching a poster for this event to this email. For more information contact Julie Weltha at welthaj@partnercom.net or Natalie Moorman at moormanconst@partnercom.net
