Help South Skunk Blues Society

Craig Peterson president of the South Skunk Blues Society sent me an email to let me know about upcoming fundraiser for the SSBS.  The Skunkers were one of my favorite blues societies because their heart was always in the right place.  So if you are around Central Iowa during any of these date make sure to stop by and say hello to the South Skunk Blues Society!

Official South Skunk Fundraisers:
1. May 21  Speakeasy in Newton (Saturday)  Sumpin’ Doo 8-12PM

2. June 11 Sugar Grove Winery West of Newton and a bit north on the gravel (Saturday-Newton Alumni weekend)  Hot Tamale and the Red Hots  6:30-9:30 PM
3. June 17 Speakeasy in Newton (Friday) Gary Gibson Group 8-12PM  (note this is a change from the earlier schedule which had them playing on June 10)
4. July 23 Game Time in Grinnell (Saturday) All Day Event – South Skunk on the Road – Announcement of bands will be coming soon
5. July 29th Speakeasy (Friday)  Matt Woods and the Thunderbolts  8-12 PM

May 14        Revolution Cycle – Baxter / Open House and Customer Appreciation / Smoked Pork Loin  /Crossroads Band/ 1-5 PM
June 4         Goat Ranch – Baxter / Redneck BBQ Cook-off (all day event) / Bob Pace Band 8:30 – Midnight
July 28        Goat Ranch – Baxter / Mid Day on Ragbrai route from Altoona to Grinnell / Matt Woods and the Thunderbolts
