Blues Historian Review: Delmark 55 Years Of Blues

Blues recording companies come and go, but very few last as long as Delmark. Delmark has been around 55 years and some of the best of Chicago blues have recorded for Bob Koester. This anniversary release Delmark: 55 Years Of Blues showcases some of the great artists who recorded there. Trying to give you a blow by blow account of whats on this CD doesn't do it justice, you just need to buy it. It really doesn't matter if you are new to blues, or are an old timer this disc is a must have, because it is not only some of the best audio recordings, but it is also a DVD! Mr Koester must have been feeling really gracious when he put this package together, because it also has a full DVD collection of the best of the Delmark video releases. I have reviewed a few of the DVD releases and they are a treat, so getting a best of DVD with this CD was a nice touch.
