Cleo Brown
Complete Recorded Works
March 1935 ~ June 1935
JPCD-1532-2
____________________________________________

The sultry Queen of stride Piano is featured here with the finest houseband that Decca could muster including guitar genius Perry Botkin and a young Gene Krupa on drums.
Both takes of this amazing session are featured, both different and both equally full of chic swing.
Bonus Brunswick/Decca House band take with Ella Logan on vocals just for good measure.

Apologies for still not having completed the Cleo Brown article - but the piano titles are still on offer. We also have an extra 11 titles back in stock and they are on offer too!

The Strange Tale of a Superstar Hidden From History I’m part way through writing a book about this astonishing lady. I am desperately seeking, Photos, Cuttings, Articles that feature or simply mention VDL. Also much appreciated would be any sheet music/label scans, and if any one can actually find a transcript or any info on the Law Suit involving Kath Smith…yes Kate Smith!
